The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Hawaii Chapter will host a luncheon meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2009, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki.

Mike McCartney, President & CEO of the Hawai`i Tourism Authority (HTA), will share what HTA is doing to address the challenges that currently face Hawai`i’s visitor industry. He will discuss the importance of working together to strategically manage Hawai`i tourism in a sustainable manner.

PATA Hawaii Presents: Mark Dunkerley
Over 80 travel industry professionals gathered for PATA-Hawaii Chapter’s April luncheon held at the Hawaii Prince Hotel in Waikiki.  Among them was Ms. Barbara Bryant, PATA Regional Director-North America & Hawaii, who gave a short address at the beginning of the program.  Featured at the event was guest speaker Mark B. Dunkerley, President & CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, who discussed new opportunities for his company in light of difficult economic conditions impacting the U.S. airline industry and its associated impacts on Hawai`i’s tourism industry.
