| Click here for registration form Mike McCartney, President & CEO of the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority(HTA), will share what HTA is doing to address the challenges thatcurrently face Hawai‘i’s visitor industry. He will discuss theimportance of working together to strategically manage Hawai‘i tourismin a sustainable manner. McCartney was selected to head theHTA in March 2009. He officially began his duties on April 6th.Previously, McCartney served two years as Chairman of the HTA Board ofDirectors from 2002-2004. Prior to joining HTA, McCartney wasthe Executive Director of the Hawai‘i State Teachers Association,Director for the State of Hawai‘i Department of Human ResourcesDevelopment, President & CEO of PBS Hawai‘i, Chairman of theDemocratic Party of Hawai‘i, President and co-creator of the Hawai‘iStars Television series, and served as a State Senator in the Hawai‘iState Senate from 1988 – 1998.
